  • Brain injuries can be caused by many things including stroke, traumatic brain injury, brain infection and brain tumour

  • There many diferent kinds of dementia, some of the most common include Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular Dementia and Lewy Body Dementia.

  • Some health conditions and infections can impact on the brain. These include Covid-19 and long Covid and autoimmune diseases

  • Many people with conditions that affect their brain experience difficulties with low mood, anxiety, PTSD and stress

What do we do?

  • Psychological Therapy

Depression, anxiety, stress, and adjustment difficulties are just some of the common experiences shared by those living with life changing injuries or neurological diagnosis. Psychological therapy can support you to understand your experiences, identify opportunities for change and to improve your sense of wellbeing.

  • Neuropsychological Assessment

A Neuropsychological assessment can help to build an understanding of how changes within the brain may be impacting on your thinking, emotions and behaviour. We can identify strengths and areas of difficulty, look at change over time, and make recommendations for rehabilitation, work adjustments and support.

  • Neuropsychological Rehabilitation

If an injury or neurological condition has impacted on your thinking, emotions or behaviour we can offer support to manage the impact of this and improve your quality of life. This can include providing education, learning new skills to compensate for difficulties, learning to cope and live with changes, and helping those that support you.

  • Carer Support

At Renew Psychology we understand the importance of caring for carers. Supporting someone can be incredibly rewarding but it can also feel lonely, isolating and overwhelming. We can support you on this journey, providing support with your emotional wellbeing, adjusting to changes in your relationship and roles or building your confidence through understanding the needs of the person you are caring for.

  • Training and Consultation

We are able to offer individualised training and consultation to professionals, employers and organisations supporting someone with a neurological condition or injury. Through increasing your knowledge and understanding of the needs of the person, we can empower you to provide the best care and support.

  • Bespoke Services

If you have a great idea or specific need that would benefit from a conversation with us, get in touch. Were always happy to discuss your needs and to develop bespoke packages that help bring your ideas to life.
